Ole Cliff is an award-winning South African singer-songwriter. He hails from Mangaung which is best known as Bloemfontein or “The City of Roses”, in the Free State. Like a well matured wine whose time has come, Ole’s latest release “Lerato ke ntho e kgolo”, has been bubbling in maturation over the last thirty years since his maiden trailblazer which he simply titled "My Baas”. When “My Baas” popped up in 1994 it immediately became a resounding success and brought its own accolades.
Ole Cliff has recently been hard at work lining up another treasure trove of musical gems which he intends to release in this season. His thought provoking and yet entertaining craft incorporates some elements of hip hop, gospel, Afropop, R&B, and Afro-soul.
Ole’s mission is to use his music to inspire hope, love, joy and courage in a world surrounded by devastation and despair. His soulful mastery is a much-needed injection of perseverance through the hardships and stormy seasons.
This rare-skilled and multi-talented master-crafter whose passion for music making is not a barrier, spends some of his time running his own private practice as a registered accountant and tax practitioner when he is not in studio.
